So Cisco are rolling out a new data-center switch. The Nexus 7000 looks like its going to be packing quite a punch. It won't be avilable for some time though.

Last week, we saw the building of a new data center in Vietnam. Now Google wants to build a new on in Taiwan. They keep springing up everywhere.

The criminals are not stupid and realise the value of this information. Instead of trying to rob bank, jewellery stores or museums they are going after data. In some ways it's difficult to conceptualize what a school data center is as computers didn't exist when I went to school. Good to see that data centers in New Orleans are now being restored after the damage of Hurricane Katrina.
As you can see in the article was quite a job to get the data centers back to being operational.
